Terms of Use and Rental Conditions

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of mayen.life and the rental of the “Le Gypaète” chalet located in Val de Bagnes, canton of Valais, Switzerland.

2. Booking and payment

A booking is confirmed once the written confirmation is issued and the deposit paid via Stripe. The balance is due per the terms shared at booking. Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF); tourist tax is added.

3. Check-in and check-out

Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 11am, unless agreed otherwise. As the chalet is a high-altitude mayen, winter access is on foot or snowshoes for the last few metres.

4. Cancellation

The cancellation conditions communicated at booking apply. We recommend taking out travel insurance.

5. Capacity and use

The chalet sleeps up to 6 guests. Any additional occupancy requires prior written approval. Guests undertake to use the property with due care. Pets are welcome on request.

6. Off-grid

The chalet is fully off-grid (solar, spring water, wood). Consumption must remain reasonable; when energy demand exceeds solar production, some appliances may be temporarily unavailable.

7. Liability

Guests are liable for damage caused during the stay. The owner declines any liability for accidents linked to mountain activities carried out from the chalet.

8. Personal data

Data processing is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of the canton of Valais.
